NW Philippines To Be Inundated With Torrential Rain

Kansas City, August 7 (World Weather Inc.) – A broad region of low pressure expected over the far western Pacific Ocean will create a persistent westerly flow of air across the South China Sea. This kind of weather pattern nearly always produces persistent heavy rainfall in western Luzon Island, Philippines. The persistence of the rainy pattern for more than a week could result in 15.00 to more than 30.00 inches of rain.
Parts of Western Luzon are still trying to get over a previous flood event that was associated with Typhoon Nadi late last month. Earlier in July excessive rain was reported in the same region causing serious flooding and property damage. This third round of exceptional rainfall could be too much for the region’s infrastructure. Serious property damage and loss of life may result if the computer forecast models are correct in advertising the heavy rain event. The greatest rainfall will begin Tuesday and Wednesday and last through the following full week and there is some potential that the persistent rains will extend deeper into next week.
