Tropical Depression Four To Diminish By Saturday

Kansas City, July 7 (World Weather Inc.) – Tropical Depression Four was racing over open water in the central tropical Atlantic Ocean this morning and was expected to weaken to tropical wave by Saturday. The system and its remnants are not expected to have much impact on land masses in the western Atlantic, but some rain from the system may reach Florida during mid-week next week.
At 0500 EDT, the center of Depression Four was located 835 miles east of the Lesser Antilles at 15.0 north, 48.8 west. Movement was west northwesterly at 22 mph and maximum sustained wind speeds were reaching 30 mph.
Tropical Depression Four was expected to weaken to a tropical wave today or tonight as it continues racing to the west northwest over open water in the Atlantic Ocean. Remnants of the storm may reach Florida during the middle part of next week, but it will not likely produce any threatening weather to personal property or agriculture. The storm will enhance rainfall across the Florida Peninsula if it continues on the projected path, but there should not be any flooding or threatening wind associated with the system.
